Private Tour
Northern Lights
Ultimate flexibility, reserved only for you and your group.
About this tour
This is the perfect choice for families with children, or for anyone who wants their own comfortable and personal Arctic adventure.
We start the evening with a briefing, where you will get a brief update on current weather conditions, the northern lights forecast, and our strategy for the night. If you want to avoid long, exhausting drives and cold hours outdoors, a stay at one of our basecamps before we return to the city is the ideal choice.
Here you get full access to a warm wilderness cabin with the majestic Arctic nature right outside your doorstep, a cozy and comfortable retreat while you wait and hope for a potential visit from the northern lights. You can enjoy the atmosphere around the outdoor campfire or relax inside the cabin. We provide snacks, hot and cold drinks, and local food. If the children get bored, we have games and drawing materials available, and there are opportunities for outdoor activities throughout the evening.
If your primary goal is strictly to hunt for the Northern Lights, we will adapt our plans along the way depending on the local weather conditions and solar activity. This means we will not be visiting the basecamp and cabin. Instead, it could involve a longer bus journey to find the optimal conditions for a chance to see the Northern Lights. Such a trip means you can wait inside the bus or stand outside at the places we stop. We will still serve snacks, hot and cold drinks, as well as the type of local food that is suitable to bring along on such an excursion. Please keep in mind that the Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon and always unpredictable, meaning we cannot guarantee a sighting.
